This is to give himself more time to battle corruption and win the support of the public.

Shawn W Crispin of AsiaTimes provided a rosy picture of a well-accepted royal-sponspored coup,  while a 8th September article by Paul Handley, author of The King Never Smiles, predicted that coup is one of the palace's choices to end Thaksin's spell on the monarchy.

I was then reading Aldous Huxley's Brave New World for a literature class. The farm gave meaning to the uncomfortably cruel aspect of the 'conveyer belt' that Huxley anticipated.
